🎯 Who Should Attend?

This advanced course is ideal for GD&T practitioners who are design engineers, machinists, tooling engineers and quality inspectors who want to build a clear understanding of complex tolerancing concepts in accordance with the ASME Y14.5M-2009 standard. The course is particularly valuable for professionals preparing for the ASME GDTP Technologist or Senior certification examinations and those responsible for interpreting, applying, and validating functional tolerancing requirements in industry.

Core Focus Areas:

  • The Blueprint: Translating functional design intent into clear geometric controls.

  • The Practicality: Real-world case studies, physical assembly examples, and hands-on exercises.

  • The Exam: Target-driven preparation for the official ASME GDTP Technologist certification.

Learning Outcome:

  • Apply GD&T controls on detail parts of an assembly using real world examples.

  • Conduct tolerance stack analysis to understand the effect of variation on built assemblies.

  • Apply principles and applications of Hard and Soft gaging.

  • Describe enhancements on the ASME Y14.5-2009 Standard.

  • Overview of geometric tolerancing principles in accordance with both ASME and ISO standards.
